MEDICAL GAS VERIFICATION

At present, hospitals with 100 beds or more have installed medical gas supply systems to facilitate personnel in providing treatment to patients. Doctors and related personnel have questions about how safe the medical gas system in the hospital is. Are there any germs or foreign objects in the system? And how confident can you be that what the patient receives will not be dangerous? To ensure the safety of users and patients receiving treatment, it is very important to have experts to inspect and test the operation of the gas supply system to ensure safety and readiness for use at all times.

Objectives

  1. To prevent fire accidents Gas explosion and short circuit according to NFPA 99 standard, United States
  2. Prevent serious accidents to patients’ lives caused by switching gas types (CROSS CONNECTION) and reduce the danger from gas leaks.
  3. To check the efficiency and safety of the system to be used with patients first and the safety of the equipment used with the medical gas system, such as anesthesia machines, ventilators, etc.
  4. It is a preventive measure and a starting point for considering repairs, helping to reduce maintenance costs (MAINTENANCE COST) in the long run, enabling the gas system to work sufficiently and consistently.
  5. To instill work safety in personnel, to increase their knowledge, and not to panic in case of emergencies from gas system warning signals. The responsibilities of the personnel are continuously assigned.

Inspection period

  1. Initial system installation (NEW INSTALLATION)
  2. Annual inspection (ANNUAL)
  3. When there is a change or modification of the system (MODIFICATION)
